Charity Raffle - Win a piece of Orvis History worth £2,500!
Orvis has 150 years of experience in building some of the finest fly-fishing rods in the world, from the beginnings of split cane in the 1850s through to the high performance graphite rods of today. Orvis greatest bamboo rod maker, Wes Jordan (1894-1975), left a legacy of bamboo rod blanks which have been kept in storage for many years. These unique pieces of Orvis history have now been hand crafted into the finest bamboo rods - and two of them are coming to the UK!
Orvis intends to raise £2,500 through a raffle of one of these special rods, to be run in conjunction with the Wild Trout Trust and the Salmon & Trout Association, with all proceeds to go to conservation efforts. The bamboo rods will be on display at the CLA Gamefair and the sale of raffle tickets will commence here.
