What is the Orvis refund policy?
All merchandise purchased from Orvis has the Orvis 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We will refund your money on any purchase that isn't 100% satisfactory. Anytime, for any reason. It's that simple. For more details, learn more about the Orvis 100% satisfaction guarantee.
How will I receive a refund for a returned order?
If you used a credit card to pay for your original order, then the refund will be issued to the same credit card you used for that order.
If you used a cheque to pay for your original order, or if you purchased the merchandise from an Orvis Retail Store and used cash, then you will receive a refund cheque in the mail. If you used a gift card to pay for your original order, then you will receive a gift card in exchange.
My refund was issued on an Orvis Gift Card. Why?
If you return your merchandise without the original proof of purchase and request a refund, then you'll receive an Orvis Gift Card in the amount of the lowest sale price of the merchandise returned. Be sure to include proof of purchase with your refund requests.
What if my exchange has a different price?
If you exchange one item and order a different style, there may be a difference in price. Any difference in cost between the two items will either be credited back or charged to your original credit card, accordingly.
Why weren't post and packing fees refunded?
The reason for the refund determines whether original post and packing fees are also included in the refund. If merchandise is returned because it is defective or because Orvis posted the wrong merchandise, then Orvis will refund the original post and packing fees. Otherwise, post and packing fees are not refunded, but you will be refunded for the original cost of the merchandise.
May I exchange an item for another size?
You may fill out the Return and Exchange Form located on the back of the shipping invoice and return the merchandise back to Orvis and request a different size. When we receive your exchange request, we'll ship the different size. In exchanges of this kind, your credit card will not be charged.
May I return a gift given to me?
Yes. When you return a gift, you have the choice of exchanging it for other Orvis merchandise or receiving an Orvis Gift Card for the value of the returned merchandise.
