Enjoy our goat suede sport jacket's characteristic sense of rugged sophistication.

Details

It takes its name from the self-proclaimed Cowboy Capital of the World, a small town just outside of San Antonio in south-central Texas. And aptly so. Our Bandera jacket, hewn from a new rare, heavy goatsuede, offers no-nonsense, high-plains durability in a cleanly tailored, two-button sport-coat profile. Rugged details include self-leather elbow patches, reinforced front buttons, and a detachable throat latch. The interior is half-lined in breathable mesh, and is equipped with two upper snap-tab pockets, and two lower pockets (one with a security zip). Single rear vent, button cuff. In brown suede. Genuine goatsuede outer. 100% polyester body lining. 50% nylon/50% acetate sleeve lining. Professionally clean.
Regular even sizes 38-48.

    Great Jacket - 12/29/2014

Excellent quality - get what you pay for and the jacket feels like I'll get years out of it, which offsets the price. Bought my normal chest size and jacket big enough to wear standard (not chunky) jumper underneath. With shirt only it's roomy, but still fine.

    A fine jacket -- a single reservation - 12/3/2014
    By: from Hingham, MA

I've worn this for a few years now. It is a good, if expensive, jacket. I'm glad I bought it. It does suffer from a drawback that many Orvis coats suffer from: Unless you are the perfect size and the sleeves fit you as well as the chest size fits you, then you may have to get the sleeves shortened. Like many Orvis coats, the sleeve cuffs have a too elaborate finish. It is very expensive to have them shortened while still preserving the sleeve ends' finish. If you don't preserve the appearance, then the jacket doesn't look as good. If you're the perfect size or near it, no problem, of course. But Orvis should give more thought to the majority of its purchasers who aren't the perfect size and may be deterred from buying (or keeping) garments that really do not lend themselves to alteration -- at reasonable cost and with good result.

    Quality purchase - 11/4/2014
    By: from Killyleagh, County Down

Just purchased this coat a few days past. My initial reaction: Excellent quality but heavier than I anticipated. At this price I would have expected full lining - minor issue. The interior 'global pocket' system is fairly good. The Orvis bone buttons add a little class. My guess is that this coat will improve with age and wearing.
