    Quality Beads - 9/9/2014

I tie in a bead on my flies when I want to increase the sink rate. I really like these beads. When they are paired with the appropriate sized hook, the beads slide on the hook with ease. I have used other beads that bind on the hook bend - especially on tight-radius hooks like I use on a wooly bugger. I have attached a picture of the organizer, which I really like.

When matched to the appropriate hook, they slide on the hook with easy. Nice weight (or heft) to the beads. I absolutely love the organizer - much better than zip-top bags.

I'm very pleased with these beads. The only thing to be aware of is that the "black" beads are more of a dark silver, nit a bad thing, just might be unexpected by some customers. I'll be buying more!

I just begun tying my own flies and have purchased all my materials from Orvis and happy with everything and this product will go well with my Orvis guide for tying new flies. Just wish more beads came in the pack.

A good quality bead that will get your fly down to where it needs to be. Glides over the hook smoothly.

Get your flies down fast - 3/22/2013

Nothing sinks a fly faster than a brass or tungsten bead head. In fast moving water where a good drift may be measured in inches, you need to get your fly down deep to the depth that you want it at. These are high quality beads and worth the cost. I have never had one from Orvis that wasn't drilled properly or the finish flaked off. There are lots of cheap beads out there. If you are the no fuss, no muss type, then you don't fool around with quality.

Have gone through several packages in several sizes tying Zebra midges. Have yet to find a bad bead. Would like to see higher count purchases... please... 100 counts...

    fly tying beads - 1/4/2013

I think orvis beads fit the hook eyes better that other beads I hvve tried. They also slide over the hook tip around the bend without being forced.
