    Workhorse Fishing Coat - 10/7/2014
By: from Point Judith, Rhode Island

I wanted a jacket that was simple, affordable and would keep me dry fishing the fall Rhode Island striped bass migration from both boat and surf. The Clearwater Wading Jacket has been awesome. I love the 2 deep pockets, they hold rubber artificials nicely. The front zip pocket is just right for extra leader and swivels. Adjustable velcro wriststraps work perfectly keeping water out. Hood is comfortable and fits over a cap with ease. The material repels all moisture even hit by waves head on to the point where my cell phone was totally dry when stored in the inside zip pocket. I shopped around carefully before I went with the Orvis jacket and I know after already putting it to the test in some harsh New England surf conditions that I really picked the winner!

Excellent Value and Performance - 6/30/2014
    By: from Cleveland, OH

This has been my primary wading jacket since June of '13 and I've been extremely happy with it. The features and durability are comparable to designs offered at much higher price points. The "water-proofnes" has been excellent and has not diminished over time. As a previous review mentioned, the cuffs are a snug fit but this prevents water from running up the arm, an issue I've had with jackets in the past. I've been happy with the sleeve length and length of the body on it - I wore this jacket during the fall, winter and spring steelhead seasons and did a lot of spey casting in it, and the jacket did not restrict my movement. Overall I think the value for the price is outstanding and I've been very happy with the product.

    Great Jacket! - 6/30/2014
    By: from Alberta

I have this Jacket and I would stay without a doubt this is one of the best pieces of fishing gear I own. It is aesthetically pleasing, great fit and color. There is lots of room to wear layers under with feeling bulky. This garment is very functionable with two large pockets in the front that can hold quite a bit of gear and a couple of fly boxes. The weather proofing on this jacket is extremely good, I have worn it during torrential downpours and have stay dried and warm. There is lots of room to wear layers under with feeling bulky. The jacket is a great value, you can’t beat the price.

clearwater jacket, very high quaility - 6/28/2014
    By: from Garrett County, Maryland

This is a great jacket that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The fit is great, and it is highly breathable. The material is light weight and supple and stuffs down into a dry bag, taking up almost no room. I love the fleece lined hand warmer pockets. Very nice on the early spring days. I've been wearing one all spring and summer this year and I have no complaints about it. It's about time a company is making high quality, techy, affordable gear. I would recommend this jacket to anybody reading this review.

    disapointment - 6/3/2014
    By: from Pittsburgh, PA

Received as a gift. The catalog description was awesome. I liked the material and design. I received an XL and the body of the jacket was perfect to cover my Orvis sling pack. The problem was the sleeve openings were too small to fit my hands through. I know others who have much bigger hands than me. I had to have help to get the jacket off. The fleece lined pockets sounded nice but were too high to use. It took two hands to get one hand into the pocket. My hands were in my armpits. unfortunately I am returning the jacket.
