Fine and Soft -
The gloves are quite well-made. Fine leather and soft. I'm hesitant to say how well they might do in the extreme cold or high wind. But in autumn and on a cool spring day, they are a treasure.
NOT Cold Weather Gloves -

The quality is there, but this is NOT a cold weather shooting glove. The fleece liner is paper-thin and do not see how it would afford any greater protection than a simple leather glove. I have returned them.
Great all-around gloves -

I was a little skeptical about purchasing a pair of these gloves due to the initial sticker shock and concerns about proper size when buying online. However I liked the look and the return policy eased any fears I had regarding poor fit. After reading the other reviews regarding sizing, I found the Orvis sizing chart to be spot on for gloves. I was going to buy a large until I actually measured my glove size and found I needed a medium. I ordered a medium still concerned they would be too small, but the medium was exactly the correct size! The quality is there, and the gloves are light, warm, and very functional. Well worth the expense! Thank you Orvis!
Deer Skin Shooting Gloves -
I purchased the pair of Deerskin gloves for shooting sporting clays in Ohio cold seasons. I am very pleased with the quality and dexterity. I first purchased a size large but returned them for an extra large. The extra large allows room for heated hand warmers. Price'y but worth the value.
warm but you can still feel the trigger -

Orvis had an all leather (deerskin) version of these with some thinsulate before which I loved, but alas it is no longer listed so I bought a couple pairs of these last year and liked them so well I just got another pair recently for a son. The fingers are slightly long however, a little trouble when using double triggers so I buy a size smaller than usual.

Ok for trap but terrible for the field . Fleece grabs every burr and sticker you walk by like a magnet . Need to make all leather exterior .
Great fit, great construction -

I originally wanted the buffalo gloves, but found their cut to be too long in several of the digits and had to return them (kudos to Orvis' customer service). I tried these next, and really love them. They have great tactile feedback since they are deerskin (which is tough, but thin) and are lightly lined, so operating controls in the car, and digging through pockets is simple. I've worn them in pretty cold weather and had toasty hands the whole time. So far, I'm very impressed at the quality of construction and materials.
Great Shooting Gloves -

These gloves are great. I purchased these gloves for Trap Shooting in my club's winter Trap league. The fit was perfect and they are very warm. I had no issues with loading shells or handling my gun. They are worth every penny.
Comfort in shooting -

The deerskin fleece shooting gloves were very comfortable and also very warm. The ease in handling my weapon with them on were exactly what I was hoping for. Totally recommend these gloves.
