Best Value Ever -

I have had other wading boots but the Encounter Wading Boots are great. There are not entry level although they are priced for entry level. The guys at the Scottsdale Kierland store recommended them and they were right on.
Good Boots -
Good felt bottom boots. If I bought again I think I would get the interchangible felt and cleat soled boots.
Best wading boots -

I bought these boots this spring. I have put app. 50miles on them wading in wv. I have tried other boots, but these are the best by far.
Nice boots for the money -

I wanted a pair of lightweight wading boots and these fit the bill. True to size and a nice fit with my Orvis chest waders.

These boots are light weight, well made and fit just fine (they are wide enough for my feet.) They should serve me well for many fishing trips.
Intro level? -

I am not sure why orvis advertises these boots as entry level. Anyone who wade fishes long distances like I do knows that clunky, heavy boots with leather uppers are worthless and light, solid boots like these are not only great for long days of fishing but also great to strap to your pack is you want to hike and fish. Great boots and there is nothing "entry level" about them.
Very good product, as advertised -

Used these new boots fishing the Manistee in northern Michigan while teaching my son to fish. They are very light but still provide good support. My feet normally hurt in practically any shoe after an hour or two of standing/walking. Wore these several hours at a time, a couple times per day for 4 days in a row with no problems at all. Very comfortable. Product is just as advertised... entry level price, but high quality. Orvis shop in Royal Oak, MI fitted me to make sure I had the right size. For me, same as my normal shoe size was best.
Lightweight and fantastic! -

I received my Encounter wading boots just in time to try them out with my new Orvis Silver Sonic chest waders while fly fishing on the Conejos River in Colorado. I had these boots on for six full days of walking in the river, up and down mountains and in deep mud (which I call quick mud). I could not have made it all day for six days without these light weight boots. They are fabulous! I wear a women's size 7 1/2 shoe, but I ordered them in a men's size 8. With a pair of thick socks, they fit perfect. After cleaning them up, they look brand new. I highly recommend them.
I love these boots -
I should have bought these sooner. They are really great. Rugged yet comfortable. I strongly suggest that if you're looking for a comfortable and affordable pair of wading boots to check these out first.
