    Excellent Casting Line - 3/5/2013
    By: from Puerto Rico

I overweight my 9-wt Helios rod with this line and find that it casts very well. I use it mainly for baby tarpon in Puerto Rico. The value/cost relationship of this line is excellent.

    Questionnable purchase - 1/23/2013

This flyline is so "kinky" I have had to secure it in four points. I do not know if casting will straighten it our or not.

    Good Line, for a deal - 1/20/2013

I purchased this at a steep discount in the 'Tent Sale' area (75% off), and for the price I paid, I'm happy with it. The line doesn't have welded loops like the new lines do, but instead has three nails knots, tied in series to create the loop. I haven't fished the line yet, but did put it in some water - it appears the line is of neutral buoyancy, but maybe that is a good thing, sink you can vary the sink rate by adding or removing some sink putty. I also like that it is clear.

For the sale price of less than $20.00 per line I'll use it to tie up tomato plants if it doesn't fish well. Overall rating at 3 starrs due to not being able to use the product in the field to date.

Upgrade to the world's slickest fly line: Wonderline Gen 3 by Orvis

Reach More Fish.

Improvements in the coating of the industry's best-selling line make it 7% slicker than older-generation Wonderlines and slicker than the competition. With less friction between line and rod guides, your cast will travel farther and your tippet will be better protected.

Less Effort.

You'll get more distance from the same casting motion and have to false cast and double haul less.

Better Presentation and Mends.

A new, higher-floating tip material and micro-balloons surrounding the line's core increase floatability for easier mending and quieter pickup.

No Tangles.

Superslick coating resists line coiling that can ruin important casts.

Improves Rod Performance.

Perfected tapers are designed to maximize the efficiency of ultra modern graphite rods like the Helios.

Casts Better Longer.

Wonderline Generation 3's coating is designed and produced exclusively by Orvis. A postproduction manufacturing process, performed at our factory in Manchester, Vermont, embeds the superslick coating deeply into every line for resistance to dirt and grime. Just an occasional soap-and-water bath will ensure that your line will last for years.
