Nice single hand steelhead line -
By: jboush13 from Portland, OR
This is my second line of the same. The first one was beginning to tear at the loop end of the line, which is why I gave it 4 stars. I was surprised how quickly it was starting to break, but it could have been my fault from abuse too. Nonetheless it's a great line, really good for casting larger floating line steelhead flies in the summer months. Double haul casts work really well, and even some spey style casts suit this line. Overall it's a great casting line. Just wish the loop ends were a little beefier. I have this on a 10' 7 weight Hydros rod, a great pair whether long or short casts are needed.
Great Product -

Grat For Atlantic Salmon -

This 8Wt line is awesome for Atlantic Salmon in Eastern Canada! works well on our cold spring rivers and once they warm up a bit, it is still my go to floating line.

I have yet to test the mettle of this product on a large fish. But feels great casting.
Great for Sockeye -
Used an 8W for red flipping on the Kenai last year. Only line in 5 years to last the whole trip. 100+ hookups and only signs of stress are small cuts in the loop coating from the leader. Bought another as a backup for this year. We'll see if it'll make it through a second season!
Awesome control -
I recently purchased this line for Great Lakes steelhead. It has proven itself in all conditions from weather below zero. This line loads the rod perfectly and I can perform casts from a basic cast all the way to single-hand Spey casts. Great all around fly line. Thanks Orvis and keep up the good work!

The fly line of ORVIS is not readily available in Japan. I used a fly line of ORVIS for the first time, and it was an excellent fly line.

Caught over 350 Chinook salmon on this in rocky waters. It held up great! I like the subdued color of the line compared to the high-visibility line most other guys use.
