Worth the extra cost -

We researched all the obvious sources for a durable, non-slip and good looking cover to protect our leather couch from the wear and tear of our 65 lb dog, Murphy. All the others were made somewhere other than North America and were less than half the price of the Orvis product. In terms of quality and feel this is head and shoulders above anything else we looked at. It doesn't slip, is well made and comfortable to sit on and Murphy has not yet figured out that he can't push it onto the floor.
Looks great -
This was exactly what I was looking for. I was disappointed they do not have one for the lounger portion of the couch. The lounger's are popular couch style. I would buy it, should it come available. Looks better then have throw blankets all over the couch. I made it a four because they didn't have the lounger portion, otherwise it is great!!!
Much better! -

I used to have a furniture cover that went over the back of the sofa and it was always pulling off and always looked messy. This stays in place, very good quality material and is very comfortable!
Very nice! -
This furniture cover is great! First we purchased the Reversible Dog-Proof Throw and used that on the couch, but it didn't stay in place and it seemed to collect a lot of fur. This protector has been great and I'm going to buy another. This one gets a little out of place, but it's not horrible and you just have to tug on it to fix it. I love that it wraps around the cushions to stay in place. That really works. I also think it looks much nicer than a throw.

Just love this couch cover. It fits my leather couch perfectly and doesn't slide when Great Dane and Lab get on couch. The bolster on the cover lets then snuggle into the couch with comfort. I would so recommend this to someone that had large dogs
Not A Good Match -
Leather Furniture, a Great Dane, NOT A GOOD MATCH. Even with grippy bottoms they will not stay in place. I normally use quilts (they stay in place, not waterproof) I am baffled, expected more from ORVIS.
Has my dog's approval -

We ordered this when expecting delivery of a new sofa. We wanted to protect if from our dog, who had chewed up the two arm chairs the sofa was to replace. My dog new instantly that this was her place - when she is calm enough to lie down. I like the detachable bolster. The added gripping panel is a bit confusing. I use it to shield the back cushions. Wish it were a bit longer for that purpose.
Dog loves it. -

Excellent. Keeps furniture clean and free of dog hairs. Dog knows it belongs to him and he loves sitting on the pad.
Disappointed-not good for very large dogs who play -
I ordered the XL Couch protector, had used a multitude of similar products in the past, but there seemed to be nothing my big dogs could not ruin. I was excited about getting the Orvis brand, since there were so many glowing recommendations from your customers. Once again the win goes to the dogs! Within a week they had found that chewing on the round end of the cover was a great game, and they broke the zipper (in 3 areas!) that links the round piece to the pad. I thought the higher price of this item would guarantee its integrity for at least a month....
Going to the dogs -
The furniture protector is made with a quality material, it fits the couch well and protects. It is quilted and so where it was cut to put on the edging the quilting threads have come loose, (I have had it for less than a week) and need to be tied off so they don't unravel any further. I appreciate the style of the protector and the quality however I am disappointed in the construction. It does stay in place and looks very nice from a distance.
