Orvis did the job on Grand Bahama! -
By: Bonefish52 from Washington DC
As the story goes! The wind blew hard and the dark clouds were a big pain during my 10 day bonefish trip on Grand Bahama last month. I fished a few brands of leader and tippet, but the quality of my Orvis Fluorocarbon leaders proved to be the best. After breaking off a few fish, I switched to the Orvis IGFA approved leader. I trimmed off 18 inches, and added on 16 lbs Orvis fleuro tippet and never looked back.. Finally I had a calm day, and replace the 16 lbs tippet with 12 lbs and I did great... I used the Meko fly and it was magic.., sadly he wasn't my guide, but his dad Stanley was :-) !!!!
Must have -
Have used these before and going to Christmas Island in a few weeks. No doubts on how they will hold up.

These leaders are truly tuff! Drag them through the sand and rocks for weeks and there still tuff as the day you tied them on.

If you fish for chinok coho big brown and steelhead a 16 lb mabe little to much but dont have to worry about braking line. Its fluorocarbon so sinks faster then mono & less visible to fish
