Reliable Orvis quality - a fan -

The XL Sandanova is well-made, sheds rain and and except for some initial balkiness from the zipper delivers as advertised. It would have been nice to have had more allowance for broad shoulders. Is it me or is there a trend going to the "less roomy?" I am keeping it nonetheless. One picky item is the micro-weave fabric in the collar catches and holds other fibers, like hair from haircuts- today's discovery - oh, well. Let it rain.

I actually just pick this item up today. I like the fact that it is relatively lite and not as heavy as it sort of looks online. I also like the length with a drawstring internal cord at the waist as this is a style I really like. I normally wear a large and was concerned because I was told they run big, but a large seems to be spot on for me! I like the fact that the collar is dark since it stands up and I really like that it has a hidden hood. I don't care for the double zippers on the same track in the front. I don't see the logic in that at all. The snap buttons are a bit difficult to unsnap and snap close again, but I don't think this will be such a big deal. I wish the two front pockets had a side slot for your hands as that would make this coat perfect in my eyes. I probably won't start to use it until next fall/winter. I only recently saw it in their catalog and figured I should get it while I can. Oh, I really like the trench coat beige colour too.

Very practical and flexible rain protection. At home outside or at the office or out for the evening. Plenty of handy pockets. Sheds the rain well. I highly recommend this raincoat.

Classy look, air circulating yet warm, L is just right for 5'11" 185 frame
Fair product -
Seems well made. It is heavier than expected. The zipper is very difficult to get started. The hood needs to allow more room. It does appear to be rain proof which is good. The styling is appealing.

I really like this jacket for fall and spring weather wear. It's lightweight but somehow warm and, of course, keeps one dry in the rain. It's also very well made, and I really like the fact that it's a bit longer than the typical windbreaker or rain jacket. Definitely would recommend it!
Just what we were looking for! -

Had been looking for a man's fairly lightweight casual grain jacket that was longer than waist length, khaki in color, with a hidden hood. No one had one even close to what we wanted until I thought of Orvis! And, the rest is history! Thank you for a finely made product!
