"Snug as a bug in a rug" !! -

Having just received this jacket, I deliberately went out on a cold, windy, miserable afternoon to test it out and with the zip all the way up and the hood adjusted, I felt as "snug as a bug in a rug". It kept me very warm and dry and the only thing missing was hand-warmer pockets which are now very common in all kinds of outerwear but were conspicuous by their absence here. I'm not certain the jacket will be warm enough for the coldest winter days in Scotland but it will be good enough for most days. The jacket is a very attractive shade of olive though, if nit-picking I would say the very bright orange colour to the removable shell is jarring. Nevertheless this is an excellent jacket which I would recommend to potential purchasers. PS> I can only find one internal security pocket. If there are two, the second must be well hidden and I'd appreciate an email fro Customer Service letting me know where to find it.
A Fantastic item -

Bought this item in New York City on a whim. It is the best on a whim purchase I made! It has served me through Winter and is now, sans the liner, a perfect Spring jacket. I love it! I feel like I will get years out of it. I bought size large and it is a perfect fit.
Great Product -

Lightweight, roomy, and warm. One small drawback - the button-in liner is not adequately secured (buttoned) about the shoulders, allowing the wearer to misplace his arm down the sleeve and outside the liner. Otherwise, very satisfied with this product.
Very Warm Coat -
This is an extremely comfortable and warm coat. I also like the fact that it is an Orvis brand coat. That gives it a certain cache.
Good quality, but lighter than advertised -

First off, the quality of the coat is up to Orvis standards. It looks good and it looks like it will hold up for a long time. It's also comfortable and my XXL fits perfectly. I'm 6'5" and all torso so length is an issue for me. Luckily I tried it on at the local Orvis store and it was more than long enough. Although the zipper doesn't run the length of the coat, which is odd. It doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the coat. My only complaint is this is not a parka, despite the name. Without the removable liner, this is a jacket. When I hear the word 'parka', I think of a water resistant/proof heavy insulated coat for extreme cold conditions. That isn't this coat. But I like it for what it is.
