So far.........so Good. Great Product -

I just purchased your touch chew bed for my two Brits. They are hard nosed Gun Dogs, that chew through everything, but at the end of the hunt, enjoy a good sleep. This bed is right on target. They have left it alone and it is still intact, and after a long hunt, they hit the bed, never to be heard from for hours.......THE LOVE IT. This by far is not a cheap dog bed, but the girls love it, and if you care about your dogs......they deserve the best, and if they don't tear it apart...they will have it for years. Good Job..Orvis
Great Bed - Not tough enough -

My lab / hound mix immediately loved this bed. I was hopeful it would stand up against the previous purchases. The first day was great. My dog rested well. The first night with the new bed, perfect. The first morning. I turned my back for 10 minutes. The first chew hole appeared. Ugh! I would still buy the bed.
The only bed that held up to my dog -

I purchased other beds because I wasn't willing to pay as much as this bed; however they all failed to hold up to my dog's chewing. I have a Dutch shepherd, and she literally chewed through all of her beds. After eating the stuffing of one bed, she ended up in the hospital with a blocked stomach. So - we invested in the Orvis bed, and I have been very pleased. In fact, I just ordered another today!

Pesky puppy loves to chew her bed...now she can't! Bonus...she loves her bed now and walks into her crate willingly. Best bed ever!
Worst dog bed -

I am returning this very expensive dog bed that supposedly was "chew proof". Our little dachshund bit a hole in it in the first 15 minutes after we put it on the floor! A previous "chew Proof" purchase 2 yrs. ago was a superior product - what happened?
One Tough Bed -

My Golden was eating through beds at an alarming rate, so in desperation I bought the Orvis. A decade later, the bed has survived my sweet chewer. But I must admit he pretty much quit chewing and digging his way to China when he was about five. I have had to replace the stuffing over the years, but the cover has kept on going. I'm saving it for my next little chewer.
produict was not suited to our dog -

since bed was memory foam, i was expecting the memory foam to be like pillow top on a human bed,.soft, but firm and shape retaining. when our dog finally would try it, the bed bunched up around her. when she tried to get off, her feet got tangled in bed. she was within weight stipulated on pproducyt, so do not know what was the problem . we are reluctantly returning it; we had such high hopes for it since Zoe has bad arthritis in her rear.
So Far So Good! -

Bought two of these. Dogs love them! They have chewed EVERY other bed to shreds in no time. So far these are holding up.
Nice bed, not un-chewable! -

We have had Orvis dog beds in the past and loved them. So did the dogs (Pembroke Welsh Corgis). Our current pair of corgis, now 8 months old, have proved to be the worst (or maybe the best?) chewers we have ever known, having gone through numerous "indestructible" toys designed for larger more powerful dogs, a couple of perfectly good Orvis dog beds used by our previous non-fabric-chewing corgis (covers and interiors) along with some woodwork and furniture legs. We bought this bed in desperation. The first night on it, they found the metal zipper and gnawed at and disengaged the teeth over a 3 - inch stretch. Fortunately, I was able to straighten out and re-engage the teeth and re-zip the zipper. To avoid further damage, I covered the whole zipper area with duct tape and doused it in bitter apple. So far, so good for the zipper. Now they've started in on a corner of the bed opposite the zippered side, and have removed the sueded material covering the tough-chew nylon, over about a 4 inch area. That area has now been doused in bitter apple too. Along with the other corner, just in case. They like to dig at the middle of it too, but so far that has caused no damage. I'm very glad for the Orvis guarantee. I will try to put off the day when I will have to take advantage of it for as long as possible, because when they are not chewing it, the dogs clearly enjoy napping on it! So I would recommend it with reservations, because so far it has held up better than the other ones we have tried (which got chewed all the way through, with stuffing strewn all over, overnight).
Perfect Solution -
Our 4 month old puppy likes to eat everything. She loves lying on pillows/ dog beds but tore apart her first four. She's tried with this one but it's still fully intact and looks great!
