Best All-Around RX Sunglasses -

I originally bought these RX sunglasses for fishing. I got the progressive lens, which can be challenging in wrap around glasses. I found these sunglasses to be great for driving as well. They really cut the glare. I recently wore them on a very long day of fishing on the Kenai River in Alaska and they were great! They protected my eyes and did not cause any eye strain despite the changing conditions from bright sun to a driving snow storm at the end of the day (when I caught two monster rainbows within 15 minutes of each other).
Good glasses -

These glasses are excellent quality and finish. The quality of the lens is better than most of my other prescriptiion glasses. My only wish is that the glass option was still available and that they were available in multiple lens colors. Currently only avaialable in amber. If multiple colors were available I would own multiple pairs for different uses. This is my second pair of Orvis prescription sunglasses.
Progressive lenses are a NO. -

I have worn this style from Orvis for more than 5 years. I recently ordered a new pair due to a Rx change. Unfortunately this lab CANNOT produce a bi-focal lense using the progressive method that is correct in the side fields of vision. Both left and right lens areas were grossly out of focus. After talking with the lab we decided on a small bi-focal added at the bottom of the lense (just big enough to tie on #24's). They gladly replaced my glasses. The new glasses work perfectly. NO NOT ORDER WRAP LENSES IN A PROGRESSIVE RX.

Orvis is normally fantastic and I will continue to be a devoted customer, which is the only reason I am taking my time to write this: The Zeiss Sunglasses are great EXCEPT... They came in with the wrong frame (black) and the wrong color lens (amber). The perscription was correct as well as the model of frame. The order was correct and I was helped through that original ordering process by an excellent salesman at the Reno NV store. Part of that process was that I had to talk with a person over the telephone (in some other State) and explain the order exactly which I was happy to perform. I must admit that it was disappointed however. I am awaiting the correct pair of glasses to arrive which the Manager of the Reno store was eager to help me with and who is top notch !!! BTW... Orvis should probably include the Reno Store in the list of "Orvis Authorized Dealers" in your Catalog. Just a suggestion.
nice fishing glasses -

These glasses are lightweight, polarized and very form fitting. Absolutely no worries about them falling off. I thought they were a bit expensive compared to a Costa del Mar, but if they last a long time they will be well worth it.
Disappointing Service -

Glasses described and pictured as having "rose" colored lenses. They are yellow to copper colored at best. I called thinking I had the wrong lenses and was told sorry, catalog is not accurate, just send them back. Well the prescription lenses were great and I had already reordered thinking that I got the wrong color lenses. Received a nice call explaining the situation and I decided to keep the pair I had. I asked to cancel the second order and was told that it was. Nearly a month later I get another pair of yellow lenses and another bill. Very frustrating. The customer is responsible for correcting all of the mistakes while carrying the cost.
Distortion in glasses -
The glasses were a difficult adjustment. They distort the view as compared to non prescription glasses. I believe that if curved glasses cannot be accurately made, they should not be made at all. Flat glasses and side screens would be more effective.
