so far so good - 11/9/2015

I'm planning to use this suit as an essential layer for staying warm at night during more sedentary activities (meditation, astronomical observation, etc.). The fit is pretty good; the generous mid-section will allow for extra layers to help insulate the core.

    Great First Impression - 5/6/2015

I purchased the UnderWader Fleece Suit for a July fishing trip to Kodiak, Alaska. I've gone beach fishing, wading in the ocean, on three previous trips. Each time I've tried for the right combination of warmth and comfort. I had a warm two-piece outfit, but the two parts would separate and I'd be cold. I believe my one-piece Orvis outfit will be perfect.

    The BEST - 3/18/2015

I am a waterfowl guide and I have used several different brands of these wader suits over the last 20 years, from North Carolina to here on the coast of Texas. Do yourself a favor, buy these. You can cut down on the amount of base layers you would normally have to wear to stay warm. The best money I have ever spent on wader suits.

Going to give it the Polar VORTEX test - 11/17/2014
    By: from Western MA.

This weekend 11/21-23/14 heading up to Polaski for some Steelhead fishing, supposed to be snowing and cold. Love it I am thinking this will be that added layer I need. Last year was good, out lasted the NYC boys who stayed in the water for 20 min at a wack, me hours. Only came out for lunch and dark.

I have not had the chance to use them yet, but just by the feel of them and weight. They should have no problem keeping quiet warm.

Haven't worn them yet, taking to Alaska fishing in 2 weeks. I will let you know if they keep me warm. But they look like the insulation I was looking for. Bob Bishop Pennington NJ

    Worth every penny - 3/20/2014
    By: from Halifax PA

I just tried these out the other day for the first time. The temperature was 30 degrees and I was nice and warm. These are a must have and worth every penny if you fish in cold weather.

    Good layering garment - 2/1/2014

Last november while wade-fishing for seatrout I tripped and fell into the rather cold Baltic in Denmark. I hadn't needed my set of spare waders and clothing for quite some time and found out that the spare fleece layering was just pants without bibs and stirrups, creeping up terribly. I found it a good idea to own a second set of fleece bibs and ordered the UnderWader Fleece suit. I'm glad that I ordered an XL instead the of the XXL that most often suits me: As others have remarked before, they're baggy around the middle and in the upper legs. Wore them under breathable waders fishing in 5°C cold water, and in the boat under similar conditions, over a pair of long johns. Insulation was good, but not quite as good as the 500 g fleece of my old danish-made fleece bibs. Ease of movement was better in the Orvis garment, though this is a trade-off with less insulation in the chest and back. Will recommend it to others with the advice to use an extra kidney and back warmer if sensitive in this area.
