The brilliant blue contrasts beautifully with the black for a stunning look with black jeans and black turtleneck. The fit, the pockets, the style ... everything works for me.
I normally wear size 10, so felt very comfortable ordering a medium.. Liked the appearance, and it was a perfect match for an Orvis long sleeve tee in the same blue color. Silly me, I didn't try it on before packing it for a cruise and only discovered after we'd arrived at our destination that the vest was at least one size too big. What's described as "medium" is definitely a large. So, along with the tee (reviewed separately), I'll be donating this item to the Salvation Army.

Orvis Customer Service contacted this customer and apologized that this vest did not fit, offering a full refund or an exchange. We let her know our customer service agents would be happy to go over specific measurements for any of our garments before she places an order.

I ordered a medium, I generly wear a small. This fits over sweaters very well. If it feels to large I just use the cording to pull the waist in at the back. I like it alot. ms
A bit roomy for a medium size, but guess I can live with it. Wish I had ordered a small, but medium normally fits fine. It will serve the purpose, I hope.

This vest was advertised (with picture) as having the same pockets on both sides and I bought it under that assumption. It turns out to have only a small open pocket on the black side. I returned it and talked with Orvis by phone and e-mail about it. Orvis will refund me the money and didn't charge for mailing it and will also correct the web site description and photo. They are also working with the manufacturer to see if they can get this vest made with the same pockets on both sides. I was impressed with Orvis' responsiveness, but not with the original product.

Orvis Customer Service immediately contacted this customer and apologized for the fact that the vest style was not as advertised. Orvis has corrected the website to ensure that this issue does not occur in the future. Orvis greatly appreciates customer feedback about our women's items as we are constantly trying to find ways to improve our product line. Customer Service also forwarded the customer's comments to the product developer so that she can review this issue.
