Great hooks -
I tied most of my taimen flies on them and was really satisfied with the quality. They are super sharp and tough and they hold fish well.

Orvis always sells best possible hooks on a market. How many times when you fishing - oops fish get away when you feel bite, and main reason hook was not sharp enough. Not in this case. Gamakatsu made extremely sharp and durable hooks. Fish ON

When fishing for saltwaters hardest fighters you want the best hook possibe. well this is it, any size in the Gamakatsu range will out perform any other hooks. Use the best for that guarteed hook hold, i've had plenty of other makes of hooks bend under pressure these hooks will not.

These hooks are great for pike/musky flies. Strong and sharp, what more can you ask for in a hook. Backordered - but delivered in short order.
Gamakatsu SL-12S 6/0 -
These 6/0 heavy duty hooks for GT fly tying are like hens teeth in the UK. Sharp and unlikely to straighten under immense pressure. We could do with 7/0 if possible.
Good product and service -

As far as I'm concerned these are the best big-game saltwater hooks around, but hard to find in the UK. Prompt delivery from Orvis - happy customer!
These are by far the best tarpon hooks out there. They are strong, very sharp and thin enough so that tying flies that ride high in the water column makes them the go to hook. Plus, sticking a fish is much easier with the smaller gauge hook yet they stay true to form and will not straighten. The only hook I use for tarpon flies.
