These are pretty creative. I got some to try out for the smaller pike flies on the 8wt. Easy set-up!
Very easy to use and durable. I would recommend to anybody going after predators.

I bought these for some pike, muskie, and bluefish. I have to say they are the easiest wire leaders I've ever used fly fishing. Quick-change, and tough. 5/5 would reccomend
Awesome Wire Leader -
By: UyedaBrothers from Oahu, Hawaii
We absolutely love this wire leader. It's so rugged, but so thin, and it's very easy to use. We use this leader when fishing for Ono (Wahoo) and other toothy critters in Hawaii. One thing we wish is if it could be made in a higher pound test. 80-90 pound test would be ideal.

I've used these 'haywire' leaders for casting to big, toothy northerns in northern Canada for years...at the end of the week they are usually twisted, kinked and look terrible (badge of courage and durability!), but I've never lost a fly when using them. yes plastic sleeve is probably the weakest point of the entire rig, but carefully rewrapping the wire after several casts when the sleeve is gone works just fine. Quick changing of flies is a real benefit...not having to retie wire leader saves lots of time!
Work well -
This work as described. They make changing flies very easy. Only negative is a little difficult to get untwisted.

Haywire Bite Guard are GREAT -
By: DocDug from Pensacola, FL
Fishing grass flats in the summer for Speckled Trout or Redfish with spinning gear can often get frustrating when Spanish Mackerel can bite your bait off. The "Retwistable Wire Bite Guards" have proven to be the answer to lost lures. It doesn't take long to realize there value when many lures used in my area cost $10 or $15 each. The 4 inch version of the bite guards are my preference and, in my opinion, they do not hinder the fish attraction to the lure in any way. I'd strongly recommend you give them a try, especially when the Spanish are in the area.
