    great quality - 10/13/2013
    By: from KY

This Jacket fits very well. The medium size fits perfect, even though I wear a large in general clothing. The jacket Is breathable, and it doesn't "bunch up" when wearing. You have plenty of freedom to move around and cast when wearing.

Can't wait to try it fishing. - 10/11/2013

I have only worn this jacket once when I needed a quick cover up in a rainstorm. The fit was generous and I love the pockets. The sleeve closures look like they will work really well while fishing. Can't wait!

Dry on the Salmon River - 10/7/2013
    By: from NE PA

I'm about 5'7" and 135lbs so the small jacket fit me good. I can even layer a nice Simms hoody under this which I did on the Salmon River the other week. It started raining and got a little windy while I was fishing and I stayed completely dry. The cuff system is nice and most of the reason I bought this jacket as I was sick of getting my sleeves wet when I had to dip into the water. I did not use the outside chest pockets yet, seems like ample storage for things you wouldn't access all day long as I still kept all my flies and such in my sling pack. Can't wait to use it more this fall/winter. Nice jacket and nice sale price!

My motto: Great gear, great time...Bad gear, Bad time. Nothing like walking into bad weather with nothing but confidence. Dry, warm, functional, what more do you need. DId I mention style. Always fun when you look on top of your game. Love this jacket.

    Tailwaters Wading Jacket - 9/4/2013
    By: from North Carolina

Product received very promptly w/out incident. Fit was perfect and per size chart. The jacket is exactly as described and the construction quality looks excellent. I have been fly fishing a couple of times since receiving and took my Orvis waterproof shell as a precaution but have not had the weather need to use the Tailwaters jacket. I am looking forward to wearing in a stream but also this fall on a rainy day when I am out doing errands.

    Best wading jacket - 8/29/2013
    By: from NJ

Been wanting to buy this jacket a while now. Picked it up on sale which makes it even better. This is another high quality product by Orvis. Nice fit with room for layering and the hood can be adjusted to fit over a baseball cap which is nice.

Tailwaters Wading Jacket

“Here in Alaska, I’ve spent approximately 30 days in this jacket with an average of 1.5" of rain per day and have stayed completely dry. We need a comfortable jacket that can be worn instead of a vest. The Tailwaters is perfect. It’s got pockets everywhere, including roomy hand-warmer pockets and pockets big enough for all the gear a person needs to carry. Thumbs up on this one. I’m proud to have provided input in the design of such a great product!”

Mark Minnillo, Head Guide, Boardwalk Wilderness Lodge, Thorne Bay, Alaska

When the rain comes, an angler’s most important need from a jacket is for it to be waterproof. But it should also be breathable for comfort in all climates— and functional with ample pocket space. Of course all of this at a reasonable price makes it even better. The breathable Tailwaters Wading Jacket fits the bill exactly.

The Tailwaters features the same "No Sweat" breathable four-layer system as the popular No Sweat Pro Guide, Silver Label, and Clearwater waders.

A breathable "No Sweat" membrane is combined with a microfiber shell fabric that provides comfort and protection in the heaviest of downpours. Large cargo pockets enable storage of fly boxes and other gear.

The Orvis-exclusive Dry-Cuff system features elasticized cuffs with hook and loop cinch straps that prevent water from entering, even in the heaviest downpours. There are fleece-lined handwarmer pockets and a hood with an internally adjustable face gasket to protect against winds and hard rain.

Tailwaters Features

• "No-Sweat" waterproof/breathable, four-layer system.
• internal adjustment snugs the hood to the face and leaves tag ends inside
• roll and store hood when it stops raining
• internal zip-close pockets keep wallet or camera dry
• double storm-flap front closure keeps water out, even in a driving wind
• internal snaps, in the rear, shorten jacket for deep wading or float tubing
• poly-fleece-lined warmer pockets provide luxurious relief from late-season snow or biting winds
• Orvis Neoprene Dry Cuff with hook-and-loop cinch strap keeps water out. Lays out of the way of fly-line when casting or managing line.
