Melton Cloth Vintage Fatigue Jacket

Shield yourself from cool breezes in our men's fatigue jacket.

Rugged military design and a warm wool fabric come together to create a handsome men's fatigue jacket replete with functional details. While exploring one of our favourite vintage clothing stores, we discovered this unique naval-style jacket; we added soft corduroy trim beneath the pocket flaps, on the placket interior, and inside the collar for a soft touch. Two handwarmers. Rib-knit trim at the cuffs and hem repels cold breezes. Two-button side-hem closure. Men's fatigue jacket in navy. Pure wool body. Dry clean.
Sizes: S(34-36), M(38-40), L(42-44), XL(46-48), XXL(50-52). About 28⅜" long in size large.

    Wonderful Wool - 8/5/2013
    By: from Gomer, Ohio

I purchased the Melton Cloth Vintage Fatigue jacket and am pleased as punch with it. The fit is perfect, the jacket is striking in dark Navy blue. It is warm, it needs no lining, because it is a soft wool. The snap buttons are an added touch, the the chest pockets set it apart from other jackets. It is perfect as a three season jacket.

    quite average - 4/24/2013
    By: from Washington State Palouse

I got a very good buy on this Fatigue Jacket, and yet still returned it. I found the quality, the weight and virtual black color of the wool to quite average and I can't for the life of me see where this starts out as a $275 garment. I must admit, the thing that really irritated me was, after taking the time and trouble to contact C/S to first hand verify lining, I was flat told it was fully lined, including sleeves. Well, it isn't, not a lick.. Other than that, it is what it is, a reasonable quality shirt jac with no interior pockets. No problem with the fit...medium for me at 175 lb, average build. I generally request assistance because the catalogue descriptions are so sketchy, and this is not the first time Orvis C/S has misrepresented a product to me upon direct inquiry. I find that a real head scratcher for a quality company.

    Back it goes - 11/2/2012

It's like an itchy shirt. Only it's too bulky for a shirt. And too insubstantial for a jacket. What is it? Beats me. Back it goes.
