Orvis women's clothes are cut generously to accommodate the active, country lifestyle. In addition, we build plenty of “wearing ease” in all our garments to ensure you will enjoy them for many years. We field-test all our clothes on Orvis associates, and we take into consideration how the clothing will be worn. For example, when we fit women's outerwear, we always size it with the appropriate layers beneath. That means you do not need to order a size up for a comfortable fit.

Petite Clothing Sizes: We offer many of our Women’s styles in Petite lengths. Your height will determine which length you choose (5'4" and under). For the Petite trouser customer, we have reduced the rise measurement and inseam. In tops, dresses, and jackets, the sleeve length and body length have been reduced. For all styles, the body widths have been reduced slightly.

How We Do It

100% cotton that’s wrinkle-resistant? We found the most innovative and effective treatment for creating wrinkle-resistant cotton fabric. And we use longer strands of cotton, for a smoother yarn, which in turn creates a less-easily creased fabric. We weave this superior fiber into a pinpoint oxford cloth, lightweight and comfortable year-round.

Because cotton holds 15% of its weight in water, and moves that moisture naturally to the outside of the garment, cotton feels cooler on hot days and is more comfortable next to the skin. This cotton also takes color extremely well, resulting in clean graphic patterns with punch that will stay bright throughout years of washings. When removed promptly from the dryer, they look freshly ironed.
