    Great thus far - 3/28/2013

I ave only used this rod once thus far and I am enjoying it quite a bit. It feels great casting and is quite strong. I got the rod and set-up for steelhead and salmon fishing and plan on netting a few very soon. The cost of the product relative to others for a similar product was very good.

    Impressive Rod - 9/22/2012

Matched Rod with a Mirage IV. Aesthetics and performance are very important to me. Both the rod and reel easily satisfy my expectations. Can cast the rod all day and throw a ton of line. No doubt about the backbone to land a big fish from the beach.

    Great 9wt rod - 9/5/2011

Bought this earlier in the summer to fish for stripers and blues: it is very light and nicely balanced, very well made, and pairs well with the Hydros reel. The tip-flex is a pretty stiff rod, but not too stiff, IMHO. Casts streamers well into the wind. I think the Access rods are the best buy in the Orvis line at the moment.
