The best running line made -
By: WorkingMan from Seattle
I don't get excited about some Orvis fly lines, but these Hydros running lines are exceptional. I measure running line quality by the propensity of the line to resist tangles and knots during a cast. I have tried running lines from all the US and European labels. Compared to all others, these Orvis lines tangle least with no close second. I love them! One negative: They could be cheaper. They cost substantially more than most running lines. I have friends who like them, but say they are not worth the extra cost.

This is an awesome line for deep water nymphing. Cuts right through the current with weight. Love it!

I use this line as a shooting line for single and two-handed casting in both freshwater and salt. It is a super-slick line that is easy to grip. I've never been much of a fan of monofilament shooting lines as they are hard to grip and shooting distance didn't seem to improve much anyway.
Great Running Line -

Running this line in conjunction with Skagit and Scandi heads and it has worked great. In fact, it works so well that I cut the head off of my Hydros Switch line and threw out the running line on that and just put the head on here. Much faster than changing spools since it has the large loop connector, and it slides through the guides much better.
