Access Type III Sinking Line

Get the fly down with this type III sinking fly line.

Density compensated sinking fly line, so the small diameter tip sinks at the same rate as the thicker belly section, to maintain a straight line between you and the fly. Keeps fly in the strike zone longer for more productive presentations. Type III sinking fly line sinks at a rate of 3½"-4½"/sec. Single strand monofilament core offers great, verstaile performance. Great for stillwater fishing.

This line works very well. I can cast my honker deceivers out there with ease and it gets the flies down. I wish they made it in a 10wt.

Looks like exactly what I was looking for to get my streamers to the fish. Will let you know how I did when I return from Patagonia in three weeks

gets the job done well - 10/29/2014

My old all-purpose sinking line for trout was getting cracked and had a lot of bad memory in it. Casting and stripping this new line is like using a fine, sharp knife after you've been hacking away with a dull one for a long time. It's perfect for when I went a line that sinks evenly in its entirety, and the price was right.

    Great sinking line - 10/7/2014

I purchased the Orvis sinking line based on previous experience with this product. This item is a replacement for my existing Orvis sinking line which has been a top performer for the past 20 years. This past trout season was a great one due to the use of this line in the Spring when the water was running fast and high. The only problem I had with this line was switching over to floating line when the fish started rising. I consistently caught fish with the Orvis sinking line and can't wait to get out next Spring and try this new line!!!

I have caught rainbows with this full sink line during the difficult fall season by trolling with my kayak and letting out about 60 feet of line! Can't wait to go again today to southern NH. What a great line! Marsha
