This rod is very responsive and makes fly fishing a pleasure. Has definitely improved my casting ability.

Initially I ordered the 906-4 rod, but it had been on backorder three times. After talking to customer service, they offered the 966-4 rod instead. It has been a wonderful rod although a bit "light" for saltwater as advertised. Perfect for largemouth bass and most pond/lake fishing! Can handle large bass poppers with ease. All in all what I liked best was customer service they were able to get my rod to me for my fishing trip!

Picked this up at the Manchester Store as a back-up / streamer fishing the Rapid River in Maine. It casts bigger flies well, once you adjust your stroke for it's flex. To me, it feels like a mid flex, as I am primarily casting Tip flex Hydros and H2 rods. Rod felt solid and landed some good size Landlock Salmon. One minor issue I have is that I wish the fighting butt was removable. For the price and what I'm using it for, I am pleased with the performance.

This rod is not a bad rod just o.k. the 6 wt didn't come with a hook holder, which I think is a little weird and it is alot slower rod than I thought it would be,so nymphing suffer alittle .It did cast well when I used it to fish wet flies downstream and never broke off 6x tippet.
