Why would we take the world's best fly rod and change it? The answer is simple. We're driven by constant improvement. Put this rod in your hands and feel the rush. You'll completely understand.
It's built for throwing heavy streamers from a drift boat, yet it excels on the bonefish flats of Eleuthera. It's designed to handle big nymph rigs, yet places hoppers within inches of the bank. It's the Helios 2 6-weight 9' fly rod, and it's pleased to meet you. Light and agile, with reserve power in spades, this big-game H2 6wt. with a fighting butt will stare down stripers, steelhead, bass, and bonefish without the slightest hesitation. You'll be glad it's on your side. Proudly made in Manchester, Vermont.

Great fly rod -
This rod is probably one of the best rods ever produced by Orvis. I cast it side by side with several other high end rods (one+xi2, radian etc) of the same size and pricing and it felt very, very similar. I've cast a 200-250 grain sinking lines with it in Colorado for big meat eating trout, caught 3-4lb bluefish off of the NC coast, landed 10+lb brown trout on southeastern tailwaters and will sore lip great lakes steelhead in a couple weeks! All in all it is a very smooth and easy casting rod, super light and very high quality. My next rod will be the H2 switch! The only improvement I can see is maybe a better logo? It looks nice and modern, but maybe a little too modern for my taste. The blank finish and handle are very nicely matched and the recoil guides are great!
26" Brown Chicken -
By: TheRookie from Heber Springs, AR, USA
On a cool summer morning, our adventure started at Rim Shoals, AR where a twenty foot ceiling of fog and overcast created an deal situation for big brown chickens (trout). My setup was a 6wt 9' Saltwater Helios 2 and a Mirage III lined with 200 grain full sinking line ( I like the extra stripping guide). Three generators had been turning up a Bull Shoals for 3 days, and the river was primed for some magical fishing. This picture is the largest fish caught that day, but we landed nearly 30 browns over 16 inches. Great rod, light as a feather, hardly any arm fatigue, and build to last. Highly recommended!!!
