    Great jacket - 1/19/2015

My husband loves this jacket. He says it's quite warm when wearing over a sweater - also very comfortable. Warmth is important since we live in the mountains.

I gave this jacket to my husband for Christmas and he really likes it! It's very stylish looking and is a great fit ... We did go a size larger to get the extra sleeve length but he is a 'long' in sport coat sizing. Overall, it was a very successful gift!

Nice business casual coat - 12/30/2014

Nicely made, I like the leather trim, style and lining. If I could change anything, I'd make the wool a better quality-- its a little rough and oddly wrinkles... Would like to see a softer wool with more body. Runs true to size.

this is a well made and thought out, jacket for an out-door type of mixed interests, very reminisent of coats made for hunting and mountaineering in the 1930-1960 period before hi-tec and gortex, changed the world.I love it.

    Superb Quality - Always - 12/25/2014

As usual, very well-made and very handsome. For me, a perfect medium-weight that I'll wear on all but the most brutal winter days here on beautiful Lookout Mountain.

It's warm, comfortable. Problem: the zipper is difficult to engage.

    Oh my! - 12/9/2014

Orvis makes some of the best jackets available on the market today. They're expensive (but you already know that) and I can't really afford most of them...and those are the ones I really want of course. So I purchased this jacket/coat in hopes of falling in love....and I nearly did, but I'm holding out for what I'd really like to own...and that may take some time. I was looking for a dressy casual everyday jacket and this jacket fits the bill. But sometimes compromise is difficult to accept and at times one needs to wait and acquire the cat's meow. I'm in that camp at the moment.

    Very nice coat! - 12/7/2014

I had my eye on this coat for a while and finally ordered one. I'm very happy with it - very well made. I'm a size 38 and the Medium is just a little big, but OK for a Winter coat. It's probably a better fit for a size 40 person. Plenty of useful pockets which you can access even with gloves on. Give it a try...
