Comfortable but not durable -

I got about 50 days of fishing out of these boots before the sole separated from the uppers on one of the boots. They were comfortable, but I would definitely not recommend these to anyone who plans on fishing often.
Perfect Boot for the Purpose -

These boots are clearly not the top of the line that Orvis offers, but they are perfect for multiple purposes. First, it is a terrific boot for someone first getting into fly fishing and not sure they want to make the most expensive of every item (personally, I would tend to go more expensive on the rod, since if you stick with fly fishing it will serve you well for years). Personally, I purchased these for the sole purpose of a light weight boot to carry while backpacking. Although I would prefer rubber soles for eco purposes, the felt soles are almost a pound lighter. You just have to recognize that these will not last forever. The soles only have single sticking, as opposed to some of Orvis' other boots.
Save up for better boots -
They are comfortable and lightweight. However, they are not durable. Wading primarily mountain streams in and around the Smokies, these boots just cannot handle the rocks and swift water. On my 3rd wading trip, a sole separated. Fortunately a special shoe adhesive saved it. On my last wading trip in May, the other boot, same issue. Duct tape got me through the day. Just not reliable for my needs. I have used for about a year and have had to repair both boots. You get what you pay for.
Lightweight wading boots -

I love these wading boots. I had two pairs from other manufacturers (borger) that must have weighed 5 pounds each. These are nice enough that I have two pairs of the boots. I store one pair in Oregon with my best friend so I don't have to ship them up from CA when I fish up there. These boots are very lightweight, perfect for us older guys.

Great boots for the price! -

I took these out to the river yesterday, and I could not have been happier. They were comfortable, and seem very well made. For the price, they would be hard to beat!
Two pairs, two failures -
By: LVinWC from West Chester, PA
Pros: Very comfortable. Fairly light. Good support. Good traction. Low price. Cons: Construction quality. Both D-rings for tying down the wader cuffs pulled off on the first day of use. Took back to my local Orvis shop, no hassle return. Got another pair. Two and a half hours of fishing, both D-rings came off again. Not thrilled, but not a complete deal breaker. Based on the fit, feel, and look, I would still recommend these boots, but only if you're on a budget. If you can afford more, buy more.

Bought in June last year as an emergency replacement. Worn for a week and subsequently turn about with another pair of boots. One of the lacing loops pulled out in September. On their third outing this season, the sole came off the other boot. Lightweight. Not robust. Cheap for a reason. Avoid
Great Boots -

They are very light weight and have plenty of room to accommodate the waders. The traction, especially when the spikes are added, is great!

Without a doubt, these are the best wading boots money can buy, great bang for the buck. The felt bottom provides superb traction on those slippery rocks and the boots are extremely high quality. Took them out on my first fishing of the year and I just know these will last me quite a long time. Thank you Orvis for the great product!
