My Husband's favorite shirt -
I have ordered this for my husband as a Christmas gift because he saw it in the catalog and hinted strongly. Great fiber for traveling and he loves the two pockets! Has purchased these before and always returns to this type of shirt.

Can never predict arm lengths -

Issues with arm lengths I'm a large and cannot wear the long arm lengths that come with these shirts
Too long -

I like the fabric, the look, the wearability. But, it's too long--if I wear it untucked, it hangs almost to my knees. I have another Orvis microfiber travel shirt which is not like this one.
Awesome Shirt -
This shirt is awesome it is very comfortable. Need more colors so I can buy more.
You'll be Disappointed -

I'm an huge Orvis shirt fan! I have over 18 Orvis shirts and love everyone of them....except this one. The shirt simply does not launder well despite the descriptions. Great shirt if you are looking for the rumpled traveler look; I'm not My other Orvis shirts look great, even after years of wear. Unfortunately, this shirt is much more poorly made than my other Orvis shirts.
Soft and comfortable but runs large -
This is a very soft shirt and I like that it is microfiber for fast drying when traveling (although we have not yet washed it). It is also attractive if you like brown. Looks like something Indiana Jones would have worn. I did have to send the first one back because of bad stitching but the new one is fine. The only negative is that it runs large. My husband wears a medium but the medium fits like a large. I wish they made a small because I would have ordered that instead.

I own three presidential microfiber shirts with button down collar. Really enjoy wearing during warmer months. However, this long sleeve/non button down collar version needs a medium "tall" size. I had to return because sleeves were too short. I was told medium was 34 1/2 sleeve. Actually it is 33 1/2 length. Would like to see button down version in tall size. I normally wear 15-15 1/2 - 34/35 sized shirt.
Excellent product - my second -

|Presidential Microfibre Shirts|
Built to last
What’s the recipe for the great apparel selection that Orvis offers? It is a combination of experience, research, knowing our customers and gut reaction. The latter was the main ingredient in one of our great success stories - The Presidential Microfibre Shirt.
A shirt that gets noticed
It began with an unassuming pile of shirts in one of the sample rooms. Orvis President Perk Perkins spied the shirt during a line review. “It was just sitting there on the shelf among the stacks of about 200 other sample shirts,” remembered Perk. “But it just seemed to jump out at me.” He was struck by the soft, subtle luster of the fabric.
Perk went over and pulled it out of the stack and inquired, "What about this shirt - why aren't we offering this?” Orvis’ product development specialist was also impressed by the look and feel of the fabric, but had reservations. He explained, "Oh, that's too expensive - it would retail for nearly $100. And our customers don't like synthetics."
Made of Lyocell - a natural wood-based fiber
Perk was persistent. "But this isn't synthetic, the label says its made out of wood fiber.” Specifically, the shirt was made of Lyocell. Like rayon, the material is woven of plant fibers and has a natural look and soft drape. Determined, Perk stated, “I think they'll like this...and I think we'll sell so many that you can find a factory to make it for a lot less money. Let me take it home and test it for a while."
Field-tested by Perk Perkins
Weeks passed while Perk field-tested the new shirt. After one particular trip to Orvis offices in Roanoke, Virginia, he came back with glowing reviews and a strengthened belief in the fabric. “Every time I wore the shirt, people remarked about its good looks,” he told Tom. “Women in particular.” The women’s reaction really sold Perk. He liked the feel of it so much that it quickly became one of his favorite shirts.
The perfect travel shirt
The shirt was great for travel, packed flat and came out of the wash looking crisp and neat. The soft feel was comfortable alone and under jackets. It's been an enormous success - it's one of the most popular shirts we have ever sold.
