As part of our Orvis Experiences: The Catch Series, this summer we're running four events to specifically target bass. On June 6th, Michael Rescorle guided two clients to their first ever bass on the fly.
In windy, but otherwise glorious weather, Martin and Ezra donned their waders and set out into the surf where in crystal clear knee deep water, and having been told exactly where the bass would be feeding, bingo, they started catching immediately. Approximately 40 were landed in 5 frantic hours with hook ups stopping only once the bass had moved further out.
These events are a great way to try this fast-growing discipline of fly fishing and with 30 years-experience of fishing the South Coast, Michael is ideally placed to show you where to fish. Tackle and flies are provided as is an excellent packed lunch so do check availability for our remaining day on Saturday July 8th.
