Orvis Experiences: Terms and Conditions
These terms are supplementary to our standard Terms of Service. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Experience Products
Experience products are defined as any occasion where, in return for remuneration, Orvis and/or its partners undertake to provide access to an activity for any purpose including but not limited to learning, tuition and/or demonstration.
Accessibility and Suitability
Orvis is proud to be inclusive and we endeavour to make all our products accessible to everyone. However, as many of our experience products take place in venues shaped by nature, some locations may be easier to access and enjoy than others. If you have any questions about the suitability of a particular venue or would like more information, please contact out customer service team.
There is no age or ability qualification for any experience product. However, while every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate differing abilities, some events will be more suited to those with prior experience or knowledge. If you are unsure about the suitability of a particular event, please contact our customer services team.
Children under the age of 18 and some vulnerable adults must each be accompanied by a responsible adult. If would like further information on this, please contact our customer services team.
Health, Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance
The safety and wellbeing of our associates and guests is paramount. A full health and safety briefing will given at the start of each event. Participants are expected to follow all reasonable instructions given by their host/guide. All participants must follow local and national laws and regulations during their experience.
Orvis and its partners, at their sole discretion, reserve the right to eject participants from an event or terminate the experience early on grounds of health, safety, wellbeing or compliance.
Participants must arrive at the venue of their experience on time and must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Orvis and its partners, at their sole discretion, reserve the right to refuse entry to participants arriving late or appearing to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Fishing Licenses
Experiences in England and Wales may require participants to hold a valid fishing licence.
You will be advised during the booking process whether a fishing license is required for your experience. You may be required to produce your license on request by your guide/host, an employee of the host fishery and/or an employee/agent of the Environment Agency.
This is a legal requirement governed by The Environment Agency; Licenses can be obtained directly from the EA at https://www.gov.uk/fishing-licences. If you are unsure whether this is applicable to your experience, or need guidance on which license is applicable, please contact our customer services team.
Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend a pre-booked Orvis Experience product, please contact customerservice@orvis.co.uk as soon as possible.
Cancellations made by the client up to 28 days prior to the event will be subject to a full refund. Cancellations made by the client within 28 days of the event, will not be refundable except where Orvis in its sole judgement finds that there is exceptional justification.
Orvis and its partners reserve the right to change the location and timing of Experience Products to a venue and/or schedule of similar characteristics up to 48 hours prior to the start of the event.
In addition to those terms outlined in our Terms of Service – Orvis and its partners reserve the right to cancel any event within 48 hours of commencement on the grounds of safety. This may include, but it not limited to, considerations for prevailing weather and/or venue suitability. In such circumstances and alternative date and/or venue will be offered.
