Beginners Saltwater Weekend 2024

Orvis UK is proud to host the fourth annual Beginners Saltwater Weekend, coming in June 2024. The weekend gives people an accessible opportunity to make fly fishing their passion, particularly those looking to learn and wanting to explore the outdoors in new and exciting ways.

In 2024, the Beginners Saltwater Weekend will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June from the Langstone Quays Resort on Hayling Island.

The event is held over two days and includes talks on fly fishing kit, saltwater species, where to fish, tactics, as well as casting clinics. Followed by a series of guided beach workshops, everyone will have the opportunity to try and catch a fish and test out their new skills.
Expertly guided and looked after by our team of professional saltwater fly fishing guides - Michael Rescorle, Joe Walker, Philip Spratt, Rowan Bailey, and a team of highly qualified casting instructors, the sessions are all focused on the basics of saltwater fly fishing and fly casting. Did you know that you can never be more than around 70 miles from the coast in the UK? This event celebrates the incredible saltwater fly fishing we have on offer, which is so accessible to amateur and professional anglers alike.

No physical tickets are sent out and all information will be available to you in the Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival Portal ahead of the event.
