The UK River Summit 2025: A Platform for Positive Change

The UK River Summit is an established collaborative project entering its third year, dedicated to engaging people in protecting and revitalising our UK rivers. This year's event will take place on 8th July 2025 at Morden Hall, and we are excited to announce that tickets are now available to buy in advance.

Offering a unique platform to unite experts, the general public, community groups, politicians, artists, industry-leaders, academics, NGOs, and more in celebrating and learning about the vital role of rivers, the 2025 UK River Summit will focus on environmental education, sustainable practices, and community participation. Key activities include:

Impactful panels with leading environmental experts, policymakers and advocates.

Roundtable discussions facilitating solutions-focused conversations around river health and sustainability.

Opportunities for the public to engage with rivers and their health through a wide variety of interactive and immersive activities.

Workshops aimed at increasing awareness of river health and sustainable practices.

Creative expression through various mediums such as art, music, and storytelling.

Collaboration with schools and other stakeholders to foster a sense of shared responsibility for river health.

Educating the consumer about pro-environmental behaviour.

The event hosts river clean-ups, involves local community groups that use the river as a resource, and educates the general public with the aim of inspiring collective responsibility for our river health. As a brand that celebrates the veins of our natural world daily, Orvis are proud to partner with The UK River Summit.

Last year, cross-party leaders shared their stance on urgent water issues, from pollution to public ownership and these discussions will return as a key focus for 2025, exactly one year on from the general election. Panels on crucial topics like sustainable farming, river governance, and eco-finance, with insights from leading researchers and policymakers, will also be key. Harnessing talent from City St George’s University, discussions will also explore how human behaviour shapes our rivers, how our water consumption impacts our ecosystems, and how we can adapt towards a more sustainable future.

At the heart of the event is a series of creative expression which demonstrate the multifaceted importance of our rivers. Exhibitions using photography, sculpture, and textile art as well as performances inspired by rivers will be interspersed throughout the day.

All in all, the day promises collaboration, a global outlook, and a local focus. Join us at the UK River Summit on 8th July 2025.
