Located in Peak National Park, the Peak District of Derbyshire boasts some of the most stunning scenery that England has to offer. It is home to several rivers, and the Derwent and Wye sit among the best, with both wild brown and rainbow trout, along with specimen grayling, and superb dry fly and nymph fishing. The rivers are all in close proximity, and moving from one to the other is easy.
Bakewell and the surrounding areas are quaint country towns and villages, with local food establishments, pubs, and independent shops, ensuring good local food is available during guided days.
CC Fly Fishing was started in 2022 by Chad Critchley, who has a background in coarse fishing and targetted carp and barbel before transitioning to competition fly fishing and concentrating mainly on rivers. Chad is a qualified fly and coarse angling coach licensed by the angling trust and holds child protection qualification. He is a first responder in emergency care and holds a diploma in education and training.
The days are not just about the fishing, but about the scenery, the wildlife, and the history. CC Fly Fishing aims to ensure every angler not only experiences great fishing, but also experiences everything around them that is not fishing. These are not hard-fished days but enjoyable, relaxed, and memorable days.
