On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June 2021, join Orvis UK for a weekend aimed at teaching beginner’s the basics to Saltwater Fly Fishing, based in Chichester and Hayling Island.
After the success of the inaugural Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival in September 2020, Orvis UK is delighted to announce a new event for 2021, aimed at complete beginners. The event seeks to celebrate the fantastic saltwater fly fishing we have on offer across the UK’s coastlines, which is so accessible to amateur and professional anglers alike.
The Beginners Saltwater Weekend welcomes all ages and abilities with our main aim to learn all the basics for saltwater fly fishing, as well as to bring together likeminded people to forge new friendships.
Tickets cost £80 per person and the weekend will include talks on tackle, species, where to fish and offer expert tuition on the basics to fly casting. There will also be a social element to the weekend, where you can meet other likeminded people and hopefully future fishing friends. Orvis will be awarding prizes to conclude the weekend for achievements such as ‘Most Improved Casting.’
All talks and casting sessions will be hosted by a number of Orvis Endorsed Guides.
Orvis will be following government guidance closely and the itinerary is subject to change in line with social distancing and other potential restrictions.
