Since 2020 we have been bringing Orvis Saltwater Events to Hayling Island to build a community of people who share the same passions: fly fishing, the outdoors, and adventure. In a world filled with disconnect and overload, we at Orvis are proud to have created events that offer everyone from complete fly fishing beginners to experienced anglers the opportunity to come together, pause, and simply take time to enjoy themselves, alongside learning, improving and competing.
2026 is going to see a significant change for us as we combine our Beginners Saltwater Weekend and the original Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival into one 4-day celebration of our sport: Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival 2026.
The Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival is as much about camaraderie as it is about competition. Anglers from all over the UK gather on the shoreline to share the buzz of saltwater fly fishing, while also putting their skills to the test. Whether it’s chasing the longest bass, outwitting a mullet, or ticking off multiple species, every cast is a chance to climb the leaderboard and win amazing prizes.

Put your skills to the test against your fellow anglers across the weekend to see who can come out top and net the longest bass, mullet, and most other species.
Previous year's prizes have been Helios Fly Rod Outfits, PRO Waders, and tickets to the next Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival.
New for 2026!
We're all aware that occasionally life can "get in the way" of our hobbies, and sometimes you just can't spend three whole days fly fishing in the salt.
This is why for the first time, we're introducing Day Tickets to the Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival. If you'd still like to compete but can only come on one or two days you now don't need to pay for a full weekend ticket, but you still get to enter the competition!
Time to Wind Down
There's nothing better after session of saltwater fly fishing than time to relax with your fellow anglers in a casual, friendly environment.
Friday night will be the big one! You'll be joined by our Thursday and Friday beginners at The Orvis x YETI Night Station for a relaxed evening on the beach, swapping stories as the sun goes down. The Saturday Social will give you another chance to down-tools and relax before your final day of saltwater fly fishing.
