Novice Fly Fishing Chalkstream Experience
Get more out of your time on the water with a qualified fly-fishing instructor to improve your river fishing skills. Whether it's about improving your casting, establishing better techniques or setting up your gear better, our instructors will guide you through the essentials to give you the confidence to continue your own fly-fishing journey.

These exclusive instructor-led fly-fishing days at our private fishing beats on the River Test and River Itchen are specially designed for individuals or small groups seeking to learn and experience fly-fishing in a world-class setting. Some fly-fishing experience is advantageous and these sessions are an ideal follow-on to our FF101 and FF201 classes, or for any novice angler.

River Test days are limited to a maximum of 6 places with two instructors. River Itchen is limited to 3 places with one instructor. Speak to our Customer Service team about alternatives arrangements to suit you.

Anglers are encouraged to use their own rod outfits, although our professional fly-fishing instructors will provide alternative rod and tackle for you to tryout and put to the test. Bring a packed lunch to enjoy together by the water - and don't forget the suncream!

Locations:

River Itchen - Abbots Worthy, Hampshire
River Test - Kimbridge or Timsbury, Hampshire
