As spaces are limited, please book a spot for each individual member of your party.
Date & Location: 11am - 8th February 2025, Orvis Stockbridge
Dave Bazen is a life-long, multi-discipline angler who values the experience fishing can bring rather than chasing PB's. At this session, Dave will share his hard-fought experience with you, providing detailed knowledge and information to empower you on your next fishing adventure for the majestic carp.
Dave will discuss rod outfits, reels and lines so you can confidently assess your own gear before heading out. There will be an opportunity to look Dave's typical fly and rig set-up, and inspect landing nets and un-hooking mats.
Everyone will be keen to hear a discussion on where to find carp at fisheries, various fly-fishing tactics and what to expect from the carp themselves. There will also be an opportunity to tie a badger fly for yourself, as you plan your next trip to catch carp on the fly.
There will be a lot to discover at this free to attend, 2-hour session, so book your place early!
Although there is no age limit, attendees should be able to independently engage in the whole session. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

ABOUT DAVE BAZEN
“I was lucky to be taught to fish with my brother, by our ever-patient dad. Initially focusing on coarse methods, he taught me to cast a fly much later in life. After Dad's passing, fly fishing took over and I have found ways to use fly tactics to approach sea and coarse fish. With a busy work and family life fishing must fit into my ever-decreasing free time. No opportunities can be missed. Be that an early morning tide for mullet whilst on holiday, the last hour of winter sun on my local river with a pike fly, or a few hours on a warm summer spent evening casting to surface feeding carp. My fishing is measured in experiences rather than PBs.”
