The Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival 2022 is taking place from Friday 2nd – Sunday 4th September in Chichester Harbour and Hayling Island. The festival, based from the Langstone Quays Hotel, has the aim to bring together likeminded anglers to forge new friendships, develop new skills and learn more about Saltwater Fly Fishing in the UK. Anglers attending will need to be able to fish independently. If you are a beginner looking to try Saltwater Fly Fishing, please see our ‘Beginners Saltwater Weekend’ event details.
Anglers can expect bass and mullet workshops, social events, two days of competition fishing and a prizegiving with coveted Orvis prizes. The four ‘Orvis Saltwater Festival’ guides will assist our competition sessions across numerous locations in Chichester and Hayling Island. All fish are catch and release only and must be photographed with a witness against a measurement with the sticker provided by Orvis at the start of the competition.
A full timetable and welcome pack will be provided ahead of the festival to attendees via email. No physical tickets are sent out. Orvis will be following government guidance closely and the itinerary is subject to change in line with social distancing and other potential restrictions.
Can't join us this year? Don't worry - we'll be sharing highlights, top catches and tips from the saltwater festival guides on our Instagram stories throughout the weekend. Follow @OrvisUK on Instagram to learn more.
