The Catch Series: Mullet on the Fly

A special opportunity to fly fish the coastal waters of Hampshire or Dorset for species of Mullet with the man who literally wrote the book on the subject, veteran Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Festival guide and author, Colin Macleod.

Colin's expertise and skill is matched by his care and passion for this highly rewarding sport. Years of careful observation and trial and error has led to an unmatched and deep understanding of these enigmatic and powerful fish. Join Colin for a true adventure made in the salt as you pit your wits against the grey ghost.

Equipment and lunch are not provided and a kit list will be given to you ahead of attending.

The day will last approximately 6 hours from the starting time.

Important Information:

Please note any special medical conditions or mobility restrictions on your completed form as this experience requires walking along beach and coastline for up to a mile.

If you are attending an experience in England or Wales, you may need a fishing licence to take part. It is the attendees' responsibility to acquire the appropriate licence before your experience day. Find out more.

Start Time - Meet and greet at the agreed location on the day.   

Welcome to your fly fishing for mullet experience!
Quick rundown of the day, location, species and tactics overview, safety briefing and setting up what kit will be using, including leader and fly selection.

Waterside coaching session
Time to fish! Lunch can be taken at any time to make sure you get the most out of your day on the water. 

End Time - Wrap up will be approx. 6.5 hours after your starting time.
