The Catch Series: Wild Rainbow Trout Experience on the Derbyshire Wye

The Catch Series: Wild Rainbow Trout Experience on the Derbyshire Wye
The Derbyshire Wye received an import of rainbow trout from the McCloud region in California in the late 1880's. They were placed into a lake just upstream of Bakewell, and after 4 years the Dam breached, causing the rainbows to escape into the river. Since then, this wild spring spawning strain of rainbows have thrived, populating the river in large numbers.
Come fish for these wild bows on Haddon Estate, where stocking ceased in 2003 on its four rivers. Fishing from the bankside, you will stalk these hard fighting fish with dry flies. With the help of a guide, you will maximse your chances of catching one of these beautiful fish, and maybe even a specimen!
Some previous fly fishing experience is recommended for this guided day.
Equipment is not provided and a kit list will be given to you ahead of attending.
